Alisa has been an expert clinical psychologist in Israel and in the United States for over 20 years. She previously taught clinical and developmental psychology to Ph.D. students at Palo Alto University.
Alisa was one of the founders of the Israeli DIR coalition in the early 1990s, and she continues to be a senior lecturer and instructor in the DIR model. Alisa specializes in treating emotional, behavioral, and developmental difficulties among infants and children, as well as among adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum.
Over the years, she has built dozens of training programs in the private and public sectors for various professional institutions in the field of education and health for populations withASD, such as child development clinics of the Ministry of Health and HMOs, Baker Center, the Association for Children at Risk, Sulam Israel, the Israeli Society for Autistic Children, and Shtilim.
She has published several chapters in Hebrew and English on the DIR model and its integration into educational frameworks. Dr. Vig is currently developing a new and innovative methodology, the Neuro-Geometric approach based on the DIR model.
